UNICEF’s green channel facilities to be withdrawn

We are considering the withdrawal of the green channel special facilities provided for UNICEF, said the Foreign Minister, Rohitha Bogollagama in the Parliament during the committee stage debate yesterday responding to a query raised by the JVP Parliamentarian, Wimal Weerawansa.

 

An inquiry is to be held today with the head of customs regarding the UNICEF’s food container. The Foreign Ministry has launched an inquiry regarding allegations made by JVP.

 

We never hesitate to take action against any establishment that violates the rules and regulations of our country, he said further.
